Yay, I've been accepted! This is my first DA group like this, and I'm so excited! They liked me fluffy-headed character... >w< Floofiness wins.

Currently open to the idea of RPing or having cameos of each other's characters! I will primarily write for the group, and I would greatly appreciate it if I can put other characters in since Esme is a cleric, and thus heals people aside from fighting solo. owo

- Esme's personality is a precariously balanced mix between strength and weakness, as though she is balance on the edge of a precipice. On the "strength" side of the scales would be her caring, intelligent personality. She's the kind of person who will accept nearly anyone for who they are, never one to judge, and always one to try to assist others. Though she is far from brawny, she fights with her wit when she must, outsmarting her opponents rather than taking them head-on. Her spiritual strength keeps her going -- she strongly believes in purpose and fate, and hates to simply give up on herself despite the negative side of her personality. Due to being hated for her heritage, Esme became quickly traumatized as a child, adapting to a timid, softspoken personality. She never seems to stand up for herself, rather just standing there and taking whatever anyone says or does to her, unwilling to fight back. She can be incredibly secretive and closed off without even seeming to be... She does this by keeping the focus of conversation and attention on people other than herself, without having to outright lie or hide things. Countering her resolute nature is the "damaged" trait that came into play when she was just a child. Being told you had no mother, being hated, and even learning to hate yourself can put a heavy weight on the heart.

- Esme was not born like most children, with a mother and a father. Rather, she only had her father, which can be explained through the action her father took that he never knew whether or not he should regret... Her father, a lonely man who was too antisocial in the town to ever take a wife, decided he wanted to have a child to help him fight his loneliness... Esme was born as his child, through a "mother" who was in fact just a transforming Ditto, who had been paid to create Esme. Due to her supposedly shameful birth, Esme and her father were ridiculed, hated, and even attacked on occasion. The small Wyanett family was forced to move to another town, far away where nobody would know that Esme was a "false child."

- However, Esme still carries a curse from her heritage... the first move she ever Sketched was Transform, perhaps having witnessed her false mother use it when she was just an infant. Esme accidentally discovered her transforming ability when she was just a child, and had very little control of it at first. Upon growing older, she gained more control and rarely transformed, hating the ability, and even kept it a secret. Esme joined the Shepherds in an attempt to find purpose in her life, after being told (and partially believing) that she should never have been born... She seeks to understand more about herself, and the difference between what truly makes a person "good" or "evil." Because... how could she be an evil thing if she had never done anything with her life yet? Perhaps all those people who hated her were wrong... And perhaps evil does not exist at all.

Transforming: Important Information on Using Transform!

- There are limitations to the use of Transform, at least in Esme's case. Some are just odd quirks to the ability, and others are serious limitations. Upon using Transform, Esme's eye color, hair length/style, and gender do NOT change. She does change species and gains the Pokemon Moveset of whoever she transforms into, as well as their Ability. She does NOT mimic their class, weapons, clothing, or their stats. She cannot transform into a Risen, since they are undead, and generally cannot alter her size too drastically without hurting herself. Should Esme attempt to Transform into something beyond the limitations, she can injure herself. Also, should she be severely injured, knocked out, or killed, she will automatically revert back to her normal form. Transform can only be used ONCE per day. It is a very limited ability.

Trivia:
- Since her father was a bookkeeper and she really had no friends as a child, Esme read a lot of books. She has some odd, random knowledge because of it, and has a love for reading.
- After enduring unfair levels of hatred directed at her, Esme tries to show nothing but kindness towards others, since she knows what it is like to be ridiculed.
- She always has her hair over the right side of her face, and tends to hide behind it.
- The color of the "paint" on her tail can change by will or mood.
- I actually do have Esme the transforming Smeargle in Pokemon X. Her other three moves constantly change.
